Lonely Hearts Club Meeting Minutes

• Meeting up for Lonely Hearts Club organized by Gunther to fish for gossip. Also premier for well known performing troupe

• Yawning portal is the tip of a sunken tower that has gone down to the Undermountain, and treasure hunters go there to plan there to delve into the tower via the Well.

• Gwynla makes a grand entrance from the toilet area and sits down for the Lonely Hearts Club and earns an inspiration point for her performance

• Old guy with a limp named Jax walks in. Followed by spies (Fixers). Gunther points out the spies and they try to grab Jax but a carriage bursts through the wall causing Chaos

• Corgaline goes to rescue a cat, they grab the leg but they fall and the cat lands on their chest. They finally manage to grab the scruff of the cat before returning to the group.

• Arvius tries to grab a flying broom. He fails to catch it and gets broom burn before the broom whacks at Arvius, but luckily he dodges. He’s able to grab it the second time and it becomes docile.

• Gwynla takes a while to react due to their drunkenness.

• Gunther uses Minor Illusion to create a loud bang right next to the spy’s ear to get him off of Jax

• Corgaline sees a heavy man that is about to fall into the Well and they recognize that they are a rapist so they stealthily make them fall to their death though they try to pretend like they were helping. They also helped a different guy that was about to fall as well.

• Gunther jumps onto the table and magically insults the guy that’s sifting through Jax’s pockets.

• Gwynla punches one of the spies (Grady) in the face and breaks their nose. When Grady tries to retaliate, they are too disoriented to swing at him. Dwindlejoy hits Gwynla in the gut with his mace because Winlow hurt Grady.

• Gunther does a double front flip over Dwindlejoy to get behind him before stabbing him in the ass

• Gwynla slashes Grady’s arm, not wanting to kill them.

• Arvius cast toll of the dead to wither Grady by draining the blood from him but he survives.

• Dwindlejoy and Grady flee for their lives.

• Gunther tries to comfort Jax as the city watch finally arrives at the scene.

• Grady and Dwindlejoy are detained by the city watch.

• Corgaline feeds the cat turkey.

• The city watch questions everybody while the bartender gives everyone a drink

• Two women, Blossom (motherly one) and Savra (energetic), ask the lonely hearts club to figure out what’s going on with Deklar the gnome (designer of the flyer) since nobles (family with dark reputation for dealing with devils) sent a spy to the tavern to find Dekar and the women want the club to investigate to find Deklar. They also want us to investigate his room.

• Rusty Bighat (big nosed gnome with big tophat) begins the show.

• Threestrings tell the story of the Baron of Blood, who bathes in blood and they send out minions to take people to his mansion to murder them. Bravo is taken and tricks the Baron into thinking he was Asmodeus to win the day.

• During the next performance, the party goes up to Deklar’s room but its locked. We decided to get a room above the room so Avrain can be lowered down to the window and teleport inside.

• Arvius finds a receipt for a ruby that is meant to be used for summoning demons.

• The room had a ritual circle on the floor, a skull on the table, they found a scroll and a bard’s story. A message in the floorboard says “Show me the thing that Bravo broke”

• Arvius lights the lantern after reading the message. The mirror turns out to be magic. The message is an illusory script and emanates magic. He shows the lantern to the writing and the message forms a new sentence. “When the piper kisses the raven, the knave lights the way.”

• Arvius finds nothing behind the mirror.

• Arvius is pulled back up in time and they explain what they found.

• Gunther goes downstairs to flirt with a half-orc barbarian woman. He offers a private performance and she picks him up and sets him up on the table to perform for her. The orcish woman takes great interest in Gunther.

• Meanwhile, the rest of the party lower Arvius into the room again. Arvius sees a hidden image when he put a candle to the mirror, showing an older gnome that tells “Deklar” to go to the cellar to the “usual place”

• Blossom tells the party that they would need to sneak into the cellar.
